Well, here we are, safe and sound after a tumultuous year.

We cancelled our Anzac Day concert, then our Andrew Lloyd Webber tribute concert, then the Seniors Week event with the Australian Army Band, Tasmania, BUT we staged a beautiful Christmas Concert in Kingston on Sunday, December 6 - 2 performances - to very enthusiastic audiences.

Now for our next step - the Tasmanian premiere of an Easter oratorio 'Crown of Thorns', to be performed in St. David's Cathedral next Good Friday, April 2.

Written by an English composer back in the 1880's, while he was living in Sydney, it was performed there every Easter (alongside Handel's Messiah) until the 1930s.

It has never been performed in Tasmania.

We are delighted to be working with historian Luke Agati from King Island, in presenting this work. Luke has written a book detailing the life of the composer, Charles S. Packer entitled 'The Prodigal Son'.

Our choirs and soloists will be accompanied by the Rod Thomson, the Cathedral Organist.

We are excited about this new project, so keep watching for further news.
